Note to parents, guardians and grandparents: Tomorrow at 3:30 I will be having a meeting in my class with people who are interested in volunteering with PEI Volunteers for Literacy. We will be getting these volunteers to read to Elm Street students during the day. If you're interested or know of anyone who might be interested we'd love to see you there! 5. Math quiz this Tuesday! The quiz will have questions on multiplication and division. As for division, there will only be 2 questions with a double-digit dividors.

3. Math: page 211 (photocopied), #1,2,3,4, 25 and 26. EDIT: In light of the fact that these questions were written in the "old way," we will only do #'s 1 - 4 on the new worksheet.
Report cards are submitted, and are currently being printed! I think they'll be ready to go by tomorrow or Wednesday.

2. Mental math for 10 minutes - to those who worked on flash cards today: please remember to go through your flash cards. Make sure you know your facts! You'll be evaluated again on Friday!
3. French - make sure you finish your sheet on visualisation (in your carnet de lecture) on Zamboni.
4. Vocabulary words - take a few minutes to look them over. Our evaluation will be next Monday.

2. Mental math for 10 minutes: this is a new homework, and will be different for each student. First of all, those students who have not yet memorized their multiplication tables should do so. For those who have memorized it, they can work on simple mental math problems. Here are some examples:
5 x 25, 10 x 45; 11 x 45, 4 x 45; 6 x 12, etc, etc.
This should be done mentally, without pencil or paper.

2. Study your provinces and territories - we have a quiz tomorrow! Don't forget that you need to be able to properly spell our provinces and territories in French, and you must be able to name their capitols and identify them on a map.
